Ordering your Private Coronavirus Test

Our tests will let you know if you have had the virus or if you have an active, symptomatic or asymptomatic infection.
Having access to these tests, we help control the infection, reduce the spread of this and return to normal life. Below we explain the different private coronavirus tests available.

DETECTION OF PATIENTS WITH ACTIVE INFECTION

COVID TEST PCR
COVID-19 TEST PCR | Swabs to detect active presence of the virus. Laboratory test for the diagnosis of coronavirus disease COVID-2019 (SARS-CoV-2)
  • Sampling is nasopharyngeal and it is not necessary to go on an empty stomach.

  • Molecular method based on the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA by RT-PCR. At present it is the reference technique for the diagnosis of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the early stages of the disease. The molecular detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus is very specific, therefore a positive confirms the detection of the virus.

  • A negative result does not always mean the absence of the virus as it depends on the viral load of the sample. If a negative result is obtained from a patient with a high suspicion of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it should be confirmed with a new test.

DETECT THOSE PATIENTS WHO HAVE PASSED THE INFECTION

COVID-19 TEST ANTIBODY | Quantitative test. Blood test. A venous blood sample is taken.
  • Detection of IgM and IgG antibodies against COVID-2019 (SARS-CoV-2) by means of the reference test (ELISA / Chemiluminescence): quantitative immunoassay with CE marking.

  • The COVID-19 antibody test looks for antibodies in your blood. This test measures whether you have had the virus in the past. This test has almost 100 % accurate sensitivity and specificity to SARS-CoV-2.

  • The test will be done via a blood sample. It is worth mentioning that the IgM and IgG antibody detection test against COVID-19 through the immunoassay is NOT the rapid test or rapid antibody detection test.

  • IgM type antibodies are markers of recent infection and are detected in 90% of cases between days 4 to 7 of infection, continue to increase until day 14 and then begin to decrease.

IgG antibodies are detected somewhat later (on average on day 8 post infection), and increase up to approximately 3 weeks.

DETECTION OF PATIENTS WITH ACTIVE INFECTION

COVID 19 Antigen Test
COVID-19 Antigen Test. Rapid test. With a nasopharyngeal swab, virus particles are taken.
  • Rapid tests, sampling is nasopharyngeal and it is not necessary to go on an empty stomach.
  • This test has the advantage that in a short time you get the result, with a high sensitivity at the beginning of the coronavirus infection.
  • When the contagion has occurred more than 7 days ago, the test loses effectiveness, giving false negatives and it does not exclude that the patient has overcome the disease and still has virus particles.

TO REQUEST YOUR COVID-19 TEST FOLLOW THIS STEPS

HOSPITALS REQUIREMENTS

1|The patient must wear a mask to maximize protection measures.

2|In the case of PCR and antigen test, sample collection is quick and painless and no prior preparation is necessary.

3|You can eat and drink before doing the test.
